For as long as there will be internet, there will be probably be some type of virus. Cyber threats aren’t something that are easy to get rid of. Look over statistics and analysis put together by independent testing labs (AV Labs, AV TEST, etc…) Since most of the top brands offer free trials, take the time to try at least one before deciding whether to make the purchase or not. If you decide to try another one, uninstall the first one entirely. Two anti-virus programs on the same PC can cause problems with each other.

Anti-virus software suites often come with additional features for enhanced security. Look over a list of what comes available with each product to determine which one is for you. Do you need a VPN?
